We’re passionate about growth. And about getting rid of the friction or inertia that slows it down. We love business. Sales and marketing are fun. Customers rock our world. Spreadsheets make us tingly. But what really floats our boat is helping people realize their potential. As bosses (sometimes great, rarely bad, never ugly), seeing our people develop their talent made it all worthwhile. And as ambitious, high-potentials ourselves, we leaped for the big jobs, sometimes before we were ready. We’ve learned a lot.
Some of us had mentors along the way. Like you, we’ve had a range of talented – and not so talented – bosses. Fortunately, we had bright moments of really insightful 360 feedback to guide our growth. That’s how we came to realize that hearing answers to “how am I doing?” allowed us to actively leverage that feedback and guide how we worked. We believe self-managed, informal performance feedback that is monitored over time can flatten the speed-bumps that sometimes slow momentum.
So JomoWire was born of our shared experience. We think people, teams and organizations will ultimately be more effective when everyone better understands what works and doesn’t about how they do their jobs. We want individuals empowered to own their performance and development. Our vision is workplaces that are more transparent, flat and fun.
