This policy is effective as of August 28, 2009.
1. JomoWire Philosophy
Our objective is to create an environment that encourages people to ask for and give honest feedback. We surveyed our users, studied behavioral research, and considered the limitations of other feedback methods. Our commitment to the privacy of your input and your data is the long awaited answer to giving and receiving honest feedback.
2. Feedback Confidentiality
Feedback you give yourself or receive from others can only be viewed by you. You can decide to share it, but JomoWire is built so your feedback is always confidential to you. No one else ever sees your individual scores, comments or associated strengths. If a team uses JomoWire, then members of the team can see aggregate feedback scores for the whole group, but never individual scores. In order to further protect your confidential data, no team totals will be visible for a team that has less than three members.
Feedback you give to others is attributed. The 1 – 5 scores and personal comments that you provide to the user will be attributed to you – the user will know that you gave them a specific score and made a specific comment.
3. Aggregated Data Team members will be able to view the aggregated scores and associated strengths of the collective team, as long as there are three or more members of the team. Jomowire will aggregate score and strength data from the JomoWire network and those results will be available to all JomoWire users.
User, team, and JomoWire usage will be aggregated and reported to the user, team and JomoWire network, respectively.
Qualitative, attributable comments will never be aggregated or made available to anyone other than the giver and receiver of the comments.
JomoWire may collect aggregated data about the use of the service for trend analysis.
4. Personal Information
In order to sign up for JomoWire’s beta service, we require your name and email address.
Once you sign up, we will store your password. If you post a picture of yourself, we will make that picture available to people in your network.
We will also collect your IP (Internet Protocol) address, which is provided by your web browser to our server logs. We may also collect the referring URL, browser software ID, and domains from which you visit the website.
We will collect information that is made available through the use of cookies or pixel tags. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a Web server to store in a Web browser so that it can later be read back from that browser. JomoWire will use cookies to store your application state – for instance, if you are in the middle of entering a feedback request and then leave the application – the cookie will allow us to remember what you were last doing. It allows us to recognize you more quickly so that time spent of our site is more personalized and productive. JomoWire’s use of cookies is industry standard for most major Web sites.
Personal information such as email address and password will be encrypted prior to storing.
If you are a European user, JomoWire may transfer or store your personal information on computer equipment or offices that are located outside the European Economic Area.
We will never sell your activity history or personal information to anyone.
5. Privacy Law Compliance JomoWire may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to comply with changes in the law, our services, or your feedback. We will notify you of the change at least two weeks prior to the effective date of the new policy by posting it on our web site and in the application.
6. Account Management
You can update your account at any time in My Account located in your JomoWire application.
If you cancel your account with us, but sign up again with your old email address and password, you will have access to all of your personal information and feedback data.
7. Have An Opinion? We encourage feedback. If you’d like to comment on this privacy policy, please send an email to privacy@jomowire.com.
